About Ann Kafoury

My life has been rich with life and work experiences – and these are interwoven into my therapy practice. I have been married for over 50 years, have three adult children, 8 grandchildren, have traveled the world, and I taught English as a Peace Corps volunteers in West Africa. As I experience this phase of aging it is my intention to help and guide others along their journey to live, laugh and love life throughout its ups and downs.

I have been in private psychotherapy practice since 1984, having received a Master of Arts in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College. The past six years, I chose to take a break from my practice, and I am now back to the profession I love. During my years of practice, I have worked with a variety of clients of all ages. I was an EMDR Institute Consultant and a facilitator at Institute EMDR trainings. Supervising interns working toward their license was a fulfilling part of my practice. During all this time, I maintained an individual and family practice. Over the years, I have taken many courses and workshops to increase my knowledge and skills as a psychotherapist. Now I am very interested in this phase of life called aging and working with others who are curious and open to growth.
